National Youth Authority  (NYA) Trainees In Digital Marketing Not Happy With Organisers

The NYA together with the Kofi Annan Institute of Excellence collaborated to train some portion of  the ghanaian youth in digital marketing. In this fast growing world of technology.

This will help the youth have the opportunity to learn and integrate this into the fast growing Ghana's economy to help businesses and entrepreneurs take their businesses to a global level through the new age marketing strategies using our available resources. It will also help foster new entrepreneurs into the global trend.

The program was of great prospers and everyone when hears about it conclude its a great program.

It brought some sort of excitement to the youth who happened to be idle after school or dropped out of school due to certain factors, also those that couldn't do anything after school or just unemployed and those who taught it was a great program so they deployed that opportunity to learn more, joined this course.

But since the beginning of the program there's been a huge communication gap between the NYA and the trainees

The program kicked started February this year and has a first and second cohorts. Both cohorts are in their final completion stage but there seem to be hurts and doubts in the minds and hearts of the trainees.

From the first day of our orientation to this very last hour of our completion, seem to be all disappointments  and miscommunications according to one trainee.

They communicated to us that there will be some incentives including: laptops, pen drives, smart phones and great prices at the end of the program but it seems we have been disappointed. since, even the laptops given to us are being collected from us. how will be able to continue what we learnt and persue them without the laptops since everything is digital? Another asked.

Little did i no about blogging but this training broadened my scope about it and now am able to do so, how am i going to continue that passion when the laptops are taken from us? Another agued and answered. I will only be handicapped in this field.

So what is the way out for this trainees now? I ask.

What are the real packages and
 incentives inteded for these trainees?

There have been several miscommunications right from the orientation day when there were lots of juicy word for the trainees, then came another when the program kicked started and another whiles it progresses. That has continued and has turned what was meant be a great program a soure one for them.

What is it that they have to know? I ask again.

    1. A very nice initiative but making people trainees stranded just at the ending makes this whole look like a fallacy. They just need to come clear on this whole issue

  2. Hmmm....Ghana. How can it the stated in the state of the nation address that each trainee is entitled to one laptop and now the regional acting director with his staff are saying that was said of saying sake.
The president lied to the entire youth according to what the acting director is saying. If the laptops are not for trainees, the president should let them know

  4. You are only talking about laptops, what about our feedings and other incentives, they feed us today and refuse tomorrow, give some of us ten Ghana cedis the next day and refuse the following day.
I've been refusing most of the meals and had never received some of that ten Ghana cedis before.
I totally disappointed in those who submitted their laptops for the said tablets they said is in the pipe line.
Some of the first cohort afternoon class have to talk harsh to some of the facilitators before we were given our pen drive's when the morning class have received theirs for more than seventy two hours.
What's the guarantee that even if the said tablets comes they will give us.
Those who have not returned their laptops should not return it and let's for the said tablets too.
I'm a project management student and I see this project as unplanned, why am I saying this, it was until personalities from Ecobank visit that we were told to open a WhatsApp platform which we were been taught. I felt totally disappointed when the woman I mean the team leader asked about our WhatsApp platform, one the facilitator said we have but we were not. Up to date we still don't have Facebook, tweeter, Instagram and other pages for this project whilst we are been taught of it.
We have to address our grievances for them to address them and not repeating them next time, thanks
